Once again, thank you to David & Suzie Lum who coordinated the Team Time Trial on Sunday, April 20, 2008, as well as the Cambio/Core volunteers who helped throughout the race. From sweeping the race course, stopping traffic at the turn around; to the start/finish line, inputting data and packet pick-up, this was a team effort. Teams started at 3-minute intervals and set out for a windy 24 mile bike course along the windward shoreline from Kualoa Beach Park to Laie Shopping Center and back. Times were calculated on the first rider and third rider on each team.

There were 31 teams who took part in this race, and Cambio/Core entered 10 teams in this event. Most teams were equally matched and worked together to "pull" each other along.  Talking about "Team", once again, Cambio/Core was well represented on the winners podium. Overall winners Tony Lang, Ricky Armstrong, John Akana and David Lum were smoking out on race course with an unbelievable time of 53:35. (26.87 MPH) Other Cambio/Core teams included Rhino Express, Medium Rare, Estrogen Factor, and Back Aches.

Congratulations to all riders who participated. It was nice to see all the Cambio/Core members out on the road looking strong and supporting each other. That's what it's all about-TEAM WORK.

As a reminder, USFC rules state that all riders must wear "sleeves" and all team members must wear the same team jersey while riding in road races . This rule will be enforced in subsequent races, so make sure you are prepared before the race. If you are not in compliance with these rules, you will not be allowed to race.
