have signed up so far for the Hickam Criterium. The Hickam Fitness
Center is getting a little nervous!
Please get the word out to your team members and other racers you
know!!!
The Application/Flyer is posted on the Hawaii Cycling Cup website at
www.hawaiicyclingcup.com. There is NO Active.com signup - the first
application deadline for mail-ins is "Postmark" by 16 Jun 08...it will
be here before you know it!!
Momentum Multisport, www.MomentumHI.com has put up $1000 worth of awards
for the categorized races and the Miss & Out for the Hickam Criterium
(see attached payout schedule). There will be 10 paid places for the
Miss & Out race at the end of the day! Your entry into a categorized
heat, automatically puts you in the Miss & Out race. Two $20 cash
primes will be paid out for each categorized heat as well. Champion
Chip timing will be used and a great race is in store. The Hickam
Freedom Tower Mall is a beautiful green area, made for racing - bring
your friends and family for the rare opportunity to race on Hickam in a
clean, beautiful environment! The Hickam Fitness Center is putting on
this race with our help and they promise to put on a primo event as they
put on many sporting events every year. Please come out and support
this race! More details at www.hacchawaii.com.
This race will be run under USCF rules, and for safety reasons, in order
to race the Mens 1/2/3 race, your current USCF Annual license MUST show
one of these categories.
Once again, as the title sponsor, Momentum Multisport www.MomentumHI.com
has put up $1000 in prizes for Category and Miss & Out awards for the
Hickam Crit. Come and get yours!
The Hickam Crit requires max participation due to the expense of timing,
awards, and amenities. Please encourage your teams to participate to
the fullest. We do not have many mass start races in Hawaii...and
making them successful can encourage more on the calendar for next year.
Mahalo,
John Girmsey
