Here is a message from David Lum regarding the Hickam Criterium held on Sunday, June 22, 2008. Sorry for the late post.

It was a great day for racing yesterday and the results for the Hickam Criterium are at http://www.hawaiicyclingcup.com/.   I should point out that in the first event (Golden Master Men's race) one of the lapped riders got in the way in the second to the last corner of the final lap.  The refs made the call to leave the results as they were so there will have to be a rematch at the State Criterium at Kalaeloa in July...hope all you golden masters can make it!  Tanya Bettis the only Cambio+Core rider in the largest women's field I've seen this year won the race then jumped into the men 4/5 race to finish in the top ten!  Charles Dias came in 3rd and was our top finisher in the men 4/5 race.  It was a close sprint for the finish in the men 1/2/3 race and Tony came in second after breaking away with Alex Eiler.  John Akana still managed to come in 6th even after softening up the field with all of the early attacks.  In the miss and out race I took 6th, John came in 5th and Tony won.  It was a fun day of racing!  Congratulations and thanks to everyone who came out!
