We were greeted to the hospitality of the Parilla family in Seattle, and spent a few days relaxing , shopping and touring the city before race day. The weather cooperated with us the entire time we were in Seattle and especially on race day because we were expecting rain. After swimming in a comfortable 72 degree Lake Stevens, we headed out for a hilly two loop bike course in the  beautiful back roads, then back into T2 for a double loop 13.1 mile run.  We were very fortunate to have a slew of cheerleaders who came out and encouraged us the entire race. It was nice to see familiar faces amongst the crowd and your cheers helped us reach the finish line.
