Dick Evans Memorial Road Race Update
Thank you to all those individuals who have contacted me to help at Dick Evans. I am still looking for more people to help pass out water bottles, so if you are available, PLEASE call or email me. If you can bring a small cooler to hold approximately 16 water bottles, this would be helpful. We'll give each person their own bottles to hand out and the cooler will keep the bottles cold and off the dirty ground.
Ngyen Le at Momentum Multisport has generously donated 100 water bottles to be used at this feed zone, so we won't be needing any water bottles. If you have any suggestions how we can fill 200 water bottles with water and Gatorade, then transport it all down to the feed zone on Sunday, I would appreciate your suggestions. This is going to be a challenge because Gordon usually helps with this, but he will be riding this year. Yah Gordon!
Mike Green has graciously offered to represent our team to drive in the caravan as a support vehicle. As part of the support vehicle, Mike is going to need someone to ride shotgun with him to man the radio and be the extra "hand" for Mike while he drives. If you are interested in joining Mike, please contact me and I can make the arrangements. If you've never done this, I would encourage you to try it. It's actually really fun because you get police escourted around the island and you get to hear what is going on in the race.

My parents live in Waipahu and agreed to stage as many water bottles ONLY prior to Sunday’s Race. I’ll sleep over my parent house and prep water bottles with filtered water Saturday night. Sunday morning, I’ll transport water bottles already filled in trash bags to Kunia feed area. Water bottles for Gatorade can be filled at Kunia feed area Sunday morning. The trash bags can be used to gather empty water bottles along Kunia road. I just need to verify where the feed area is on Kunia road.
There’s a Wal-Mart on Kunia to purchase bags of ice for coolers if needed.
